Privacy Policy
L'être Unique (“we”, “us”) is preparing to launch a luxury candle collection. This policy explains what information we collect through this website, how we use it, and the choices you have. We keep things simple: the only thing we ask for is your email address, and only if you choose to give it to us.
Information we collect
Your email address
If you join our launch list, we collect the email address you enter, along with the date and time you signed up. We store it in our subscriber list and receive a copy by email. We do not ask for your name, phone number, address or any payment information.
Technical information
Like most websites, our hosting provider automatically receives standard technical data when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested. We also briefly use your IP address to limit repeated form submissions and prevent abuse. We do not store IP addresses in a database of our own.
What we do not use
This website does not use cookies, advertising trackers or analytics tools, and we do not build profiles of our visitors.
How we use your information
We use your email address only to:
- tell you our launch date and when preorders open;
- share previews and early-access news about our collection; and
- respond if you contact us.
We do not sell, rent or trade your email address, and we will never share it for others’ marketing.
Who handles your data
We rely on a small number of service providers to run this site. They process data only to provide their services to us:
- Netlify hosts this website, processes visitor requests, and stores our subscriber list (privacy policy).
- Zoho Mail delivers sign-up notifications to our business inbox, where a copy of your email address is kept (privacy policy).
- Google Fonts supplies the typefaces used on this site. When a page loads, your browser requests the fonts directly from Google, which means Google receives your IP address and browser details (privacy policy).
We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights, safety or property.
How long we keep it
We keep your email address on our subscriber list until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it, or until a reasonable time after our launch communications are complete, whichever comes first.
Your choices and rights
You can unsubscribe at any time using our unsubscribe page, which removes your email address from our subscriber list right away and emails you a confirmation, or by replying to any email from us with the word “unsubscribe”. Unsubscribing stops all further emails to you; if you would also like the original sign-up notification erased from our inbox, contact us at the address below. You may also ask us to tell you what information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Depending on where you live (for example the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or California), you may have additional legal rights over your personal information, and we will honor them. Just get in touch and we will respond promptly.
Security
Information sent through our sign-up form is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). We take reasonable steps to protect the information we hold, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children
This website is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us their email address, please contact us and we will delete it.
Links to other sites
Our footer links to our social media profiles (X, TikTok, Instagram and YouTube). Those platforms have their own privacy practices, which we do not control.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our business grows. When we do, we will change the date at the top of this page. Significant changes will also be shared with our launch list.
